Matthew James Thomas
Matthew James Thomas is an award winning British-American actor, director and writer. Recognized in the US for his work as the title character in the Tony Award winning 2013 Broadway revival of Pippin the musical. His other broadway and theatre work in the US includes originating roles in Spiderman: Turn off the Dark, Diner the musical, Time and the Conways. Notable TV series as series regular include: Accused FOX/HULU, Summer of Rockets BBC, The Devil You Know HBO , NCIS: New Orleans, Britannia High ITV, Trevor's World of Sport, Wonderful You ITV, Midsomer Murders ITV, and films (EMMY AWARD WINNING) The Lost Prince, About a Boy, Billy Eliot & Shame. Matthew is also a Filmmaker/Director and Producer. His films: The Night Clubbers, Chicken (dir. Rana Roy) & The Closet starring May Calamawy, have gone on to successful runs with multiple awards for best direction and a total of 37 official selections at various prestigious US Film Festivals. His latest short film 'STUCK' by Daniel Pearle and directed by Matthew, Stars Julia Chan and Cory Michael Scott is currently in Post and will present at festivals 2023/24. Matthew is also a mentor and a teacher, and has been devoting his passion, energy and experience to industry professionals for over 20 years.
