Marianne Shine

Marianne Shine MA, LMFT, RDT is a working actress in the Bay Area represented by Stars the Agency. She received her Masters in Drama Therapy from CIIS and a certificate in Shakespeare from A.C.T.. Marianne has directed, co-directed and taught Shakespeare at San Quentin Prison through Marin Shakespeare Co for the past eight years. She once co-founded a theatre company called New Works West and worked in the casting department at Marin Theatre Co. She has directed shows at College of Marin and new RAW works at Ross Valley Players. She is currently working on a documentary about sex abuse in the modeling industry through Wonderhood and Sky Films and is writing a solo show, where sections have been performed at StageWerx in SF. Marianne enjoys playing with local improv groups and is passionate about bringing dramatic story telling and therapeutic theater to those in need. She is a mother to three grown sons and maintains a private drama therapy practice in Mill Valley, CA.
