Katya Jadwick

I was born in Denver, Colorado but moved to Berlin, Germany when I was three and grew up in the historic time of the Iron Curtain. The Berlin Wall fell when I was 12 years old and it was one of the most impactful experiences of my childhood. My dad was a teacher for the department of defense at the time while my mom worked as a translator for Rudolph Hess in Spandau Prison and they ran a travel business together specializing in cultural exchanges.

I went to an international school until 8th grade before transferring to the American school as I hungered for a more traditional high school experience with sports and after school activities. I embraced leadership roles throughout high school and became very academically ambitious. I was accepted into Ithaca College with a full scholarship, where I became the 2nd freshman in the school’s history to be anchor of The ICTV News Broadcast. I transferred to NYU during my Sophomore year to pursue Writing and Performing Arts. After graduating from the Gallatin School of Individualized Study, I attended the Maggie Flanigan Studio Two Year Conservatory for acting. I spent the next many years pursuing theater, independent film and commercials nationally and abroad. During that time I also became a Mom to two wonderful boys.

As was the case for so many of us, the pandemic allowed me to add some new skills to the repertoire. I am now a certified life and relationship coach. Helping couples learn the tools to communicate and connect more effectively and sustainably is one of the most rewarding and challenging endeavors I’ve ever undertaken.

I am currently still living my dream of pursuing acting. Still juggling, still grinding! My goal is to be a series regular on a Vince Gilligan drama one day. Jean Smart and Jessica Lange are two of my my childhood idols and working with them is a part of the dream as well. My goal is that my work inspires people to see their humanity in a different light and hopefully open the door for connection.
