Freddie Wintrip

Freddie was born and raised in County Durham in the North-East of England, he moved to London to pursue a career in acting. He is a recent graduate from the BA Acting Course at East 15, he also studied at Lamda one the one-year foundation in acting prior to East 15.

Since Graduating Freddie’s roles include Adam in London-Damascus, a modern day love story between two men; one in London and the other in Syria. They meet and fall in love on the Internet. Then the Syrian is discovered, his native country ruthlessly punishes gay people whilst back in the U.K Adam, played by Freddie, doesn’t know what has happened to him. London-Damascus was first performed at The Old Red Lion Theatre, London, which he will soon revive his role in December at SLAM Theatre, Kings Cross.

Currently Freddie is working on an adaption of Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet entitled 'Paris & Juliet' a retelling of the original story from the new perspective of Paris. Freddie shall be playing the role of Paris at the Canterbury Festival in October.

After Paris & Juliet, he will be jumping straight in to rehearsals for a new contemporary play entitled Three Men and Some Baggage to be performed for the first time in November at Miniaturists for The Arcola Theatre, London.

Freddie has also done some work in film such as the short-film Send Location which is currently a semi-finalist for the Los Angeles CineFest. He also filmed a small role in the due to be released feature film App for Life, a sci-fi film currently in post-production.
