Ceara Carney

Ceara graduated from the Full Time Programme for Screen Acting at Bow Street Academy in May 2019. She also has a BA in Performance Arts from Dundalk I.T. and participated in The Art Of Being Human, with Helena Walsh Empowerment Studios.

After graduating from Dundalk in 2014, she toured Germany, Switzerland and Denmark annually with Wilde Shamrock Touring Theatre, for 5 years. Ceara has also embarked on a National Tour with Quintessence Theatre Company, performing the lead in The Star of Chester’s Lane. Over the same period, you may have also spotted her in Vodafone’s Christmas campaign, Each Christmas. She has worked with Quintessence on numerous occasions with productions such as Behind Locked Doors (2022), The Curious Case of Albert Cashier (2020) and most recently, Into The Dark (2022).

Following her training in Bow Street, she has added some screen credits to her belt, such as playing Sarah in the dark comedy JINX (post-production) and the romantic lead in John Hogan’s cover of All I Want Is You, and in Sky TV’s Dublin
Narcos.

Ceara is also an avid environmental activist. Throughout the year you’ll often find her creating and participating in spectacle displays with Extinction Rebellion Ireland, and running her own environmental podcast, Book of Leaves.
