Anna Louise Boshoff
Hi, I am a South African actress and writer with a degree in Drama and Theatre Studies at the University of Stellenbosch. I can read for you in both English and Afrikaans (and a little bit of German). I can read in multiple British and American accents, and I'm happy to try European ones as well (once again with a bit of practice). I have a few years of experience in creating self-tapes and I love the challenge. I am interested in reading for all genres of work and enjoy getting to know different people within the industry.
I am a Drama and Theatre Studies graduate from the University of Stellenbosch. At the moment I writing plays and a shortfilm and plan on returning to the audition circuit soon. I also teach at a drama school for kids. I have more theatre experience than film, but enjoy experimenting with both. I have won a 'best ensemble' award with fellow cast mates at the US Premiere theatre festival and was nominated for best supporting actress for a different production at the same festival in 2019. Some of my favourite acting memories are from when I played Stevie in The Goat, Juliet in Romeo and Juliet, Eva in Absurd Person Singular and many other characters besides (including multiple Afrikaans ones). I have been acting since I can remember - starting in kindergarten by acting sick when I didn't want to go to school... I am completely bilingual and have a great interest in both local and international work.
