Pippa Hinchley was born in London, England and grew up there and also in Johannesburg, SA.
Probably best known in the UK for her series regular role as Elaine Fenwick in prime time series Coronation Street, and in the US as Fergie in NBC’s movie, Fergie and Andrew.
Pippa worked with Michael Palin in his acclaimed BBC film East of Ipswich; starred with Joan Plowright and Jane Horrocks in films The Dressmaker and And A Nightingale Sang; with Sir Peter Ustinov in Warner Bros Dead Man’s Folly and has dozens of UK TV, short film and feature credits including The Bill, Holby City, Eastenders.
Her extensive theatre credits include lead roles in Bus Stop in the West End with Jerry Hall and Shaun Cassidy, her self penned one person show Destination Elevation in Edinburgh and London’s Soho Theatre, two sell out Edinburgh Festival comedy shows at The Gilded Balloon and Pleasance venues and multiple roles in plays directed by Sir Alan Ayckbourn.
An award winning writer, Pippa's lit credits include Emmy winning Brit sketch Smack The Pony, hit UK teen series Sophia’s Diary and Cannes competition selected short Breaking Out, winner of Best European Short at Angers, 2005.
She writes and produce the incredibly low rent web-sketch show Live!Sex!Girls! which was picked up by Babelgum in Europe, StaytunedTV and several lives shows at LA's Comedy Festival, the Comedy Store, Hollywood Improv and other LA venues.
