Abigail Marks

Abby has been coaching actors for auditions and projects of all kinds for over a decade. Her practice emphasizes effective story telling as well as character development. For professional actors, she specializes in on-camera work, heightened text and dialects. For students of all ages, she coaches contemporary and classical monologues for MFA, BFA and HS entrance auditions.

Abby is a Los Angeles native and recently moved to New York, by way of Washington, DC where she earned an MFA through The Shakespeare Theatre Company’s Academy for Classical Acting at the George Washington University.

As a classically trained character actress she is able to attack any material and takes pride in being able to seamlessly switch styles in her work. Since moving to the east coast, she's worked at The Shakespeare Theatre and Studio Theatre in DC as well as The Lynn Redgrave Theatre/Culture Project in New York. Last year she was nominated for LA’s top theatre award, The Ovations, and won a Backstage Award for her performance in “Top Girls” at The Antaeus Theatre Company, where she is a company member.
