Born in India and raised in the US since the age of eight months, Kavi Ladnier is a an actress, producer, writer, singer, and certified teacher of Kundalini Yoga. Kavi received her BFA in acting from New York University's Tisch School of The Arts, and as an actress is most often recognized for her recurring roles on NBC's Heroes and ABC's General Hospital. She has lead roles in two separate independent feature films that are currently in post-production, and also stars in the independent feature Karma Calling (available on Netflix). Other acting credits include CSI NY, CSI Miami, Law & Order, Cosby, Flawless, and Janani, a feature film that won the Indian National Award. Recently Kavi lent her voice to tell the story of Seema, a woman dealing w HIV in India, for the United Nations International Labour Organization global campaign “Getting To Zero” (www.ilo.org) Her other credits include CSI NY, CSI Miami, Law & Order, Cosby,Flawless, the Indian National Award winning feature film from Kerala, Janani, and various short films and web series including the comedy Dwelling. Kavi's theatre highlights include Pentecost at Yale Repertory Theatre, numerous NYC productions and The Vagina Monologues in LA. As a voice-over artist, she has amassed voice-over and narration credits in video games, PSA’s, and documentary films. Kavi has directed several children's shows and as producer, she is in pre-production on “Senior High,” a feature film starring Academy Award winner Melissa Leo. Kavi is currently working on a motivational self-help book about saying yes to life.
