Mark Brubaker
I am a fresh voice in a world of voices you're already familiar with. My passion for creating and perfecting new voices has led me to pursue the craft with a renewed enthusiasm. As a teen I would mimic the voices of my favorite cartoon characters – just as a fun game. The late great Mel Blanc, who voiced dozens of iconic cartoon characters from Bugs Bunny to Barney Rubble, became one of my idols. Armed with that inspiration I decided to enter VO.
I have several professional voice demos and have voiced characters, helped create new ones and also assisted reading for actors with whom i have worked.
My love of voice acting means I can help you to create the perfect scene for your acting rehearsal!
"Mark is exceptional. His talent as an actor and voice artist immediately stood out when we met, and I knew his collaboration with our group would be uniquely empowering. His impressive range, as well as the vocal tone quality he creates, are truly striking, and his outlook, dedication, and enthusiasm matches his exceptional talent. I can't recommend him enough for any project. An inspiring, generous artist with great integrity."

As a child Mark would mimic the voices of his favorite cartoon characters – just as a fun game for himself. Then as he grew, Mark developed a greater appreciation for the skill of acting. The late great Mel Blanc, who voiced dozens of iconic cartoon characters from Bugs Bunny to Barney Rubble, became one of Mark’s idols. Armed with inspiration from Blanc and admirable entertainers in the world of film, Mark honed his voice with signing throughout high school, even performing in a production of “The King and I” with a local opera.
After years of working in the field of technology and teaching, where he employed his charisma and creativity to sharpen his presentation skills, Mark returned to the world of acting and performance in 2017. He studied voice-over work with the Albany-based White Lake Music and Post, and became a member of the Upstate Independent Film Network. Mark broke back into the acting world in 2018, embodying Count Orlok from the 1920s classic Nosferatu at a local interactive performance, as well as voicing animatronic characters for the same venue.
Mark also garnered lead roles (with accompanying accents) in the following local community theater productions in 2019 and early 2020:
September – November 2019 – Played lead character Arthur Rutherford in Spotlighter’s Theater Troupe production of “Mystery Takes Hold” in Malta, NY.
December 2019 – Played Scrooge in Saratoga Performing Arts’ production of “A Christmas Carol Experience” immersive theater at the Canfield Casino, Saratoga Springs, NY.
February 2020 – Played lead character Colm Primrose in Theater Voices’ production of Gardner McKay’s “Sea Marks”, Albany, NY.
May – June 2020 - Participated as voice actor for a medical education project entitled “Left in Limbo” for Advantage Education Inc.
October 2021 – March 2022 – Participating in ongoing Caseworker training for NYS OCFS.
Background actor in HBO “The Gilded Age” seasons 1 and 2 as well as “The White House Plumbers” and Showtime “Billions” episode in 2021.
Recently has also recently begun studying acting/voice with Stage Milk online collaboration, as well as with Jodie Bentley from “Dare to be Unstoppable”.
