Born in Brooklyn, NY raised in Houston Texas, Malik is an actor who studied Computer Science at NYU with always having acting in the back of his mind. Malik then studied acting at The Actors Center in Philadelphia, HB Studios, attended the 2 year Conservatory at Stella Adler Studio of Acting and finally the Black Arts Institute (Billie Holiday).
