Lara Shah

Award winning dramatic and comedic actress Lara Shah can be found performing on television and in films, and doing commercials, print work, and voice overs. Lara has over ten years of acting experience but a lifelong passion for entertainment and storytelling.

Lara grew up in New Jersey where she performed in every high school play. She then went on to become an English major at Boston University. Her first college internship was doing Public Relations at MTV/Nickelodeon in NYC. After college, she went back to NYC, joined a boutique PR firm and then worked at Warner Bros for four years.

Upon moving to Austin, TX, Lara decided she was tired of skirting around her true passion of acting and decided to, on a whim, head to Wilmington, NC to do a background role in her then-favorite show, "One Tree Hill." Bumped from extra to featured extra, Lara found her true purpose in her role as a Detective in the final season of the show.

Lara flew back to Austin, flung herself into three acting classes a week, and has never looked back. She went on to star in many indie films, commercials, web series, and pilots and won Best Actress for several of her projects, including her biggest lead role to date as "Katie" in "Trippin' to the Altar," on AmazonPrime.

She currently studies with Lesly Kahn & Co. in Los Angeles.
